In 2005, a research and design department was created at the Kazrestoration RSE. Then, in 2007, the department was renamed the research and design branch of the RSE Kazrestoration.
The main functional task of the branch is to conduct scientific research and develop design estimates for scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments.
The branch carries out constant work on monitoring studies of the state of monuments, which are the basis for the adoption of copyright design decisions to preserve the cultural heritage of Republican and World significance.
The purpose of these works is to analyze changes in numerous factors such as: natural and climatic indicators of the construction region, hydrogeological conditions of the area, landscape environment of the object, spatial structure of the building, temperature and humidity parameters of the structure, physical condition of building materials, regulatory basis for preserving the monument, etc.
The research and design branch of the RSE "Kazrestoration" compiles arches of monuments by region and develops strategic development plans. The branch develops research works and projects for restoration and conservation of all the most important historical and cultural monuments of our Republic.
At the moment, a lot of work is being done in terms of creating a system for studying the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, in determining the boundaries of the territory and protection zones, in developing management plans for the management and preservation of monuments, in preparing a serial nomination for the inclusion of Kazakhstani monuments in the UNESCO World Heritage List, in preparing arches of historical and cultural monuments in the regions of the republic, etc. The research and design branch of the RSE "Kazrestoration" is at the stage of developing standard prices for scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments.
